T1D

My husband, Matt has type 1 diabetes (T1D). Because of this, some of my recipes (though not all) have low sugar and low carbs. Anyone who either has T1D or has someone in their life with T1D knows that it is not realistic to eat low carb/low sugar all of the time. But these are some of my recipes that I've created to help Matt stay on track.

Note: It may seem weird that I include pasta recipes in my T1D index. However, pasta is actually lower on the glycemic index than brown rice (fettuccine being the lowest), as long as it's cooked to al dente and not over cooked.
