Apple Cider Brats
5 bratwurst
- In a non-stick pan, sear the brats on both sides over medium-high heat until very dark brown. About 2 - 3 minutes per side.
- Once seared, pour the entire bottle of hard cider (or dark beer) into the pan, cover, and reduce the heat to low.
- Simmer for 25 minutes until completely cooked through.
- Serve on a good, bakery bun with mustard, sauerkraut, etc.
As a side, we like to eat this with roasted red potatoes or even mashed potatoes.
